Intermediate Accountants – Christchurch

Right now, we’re looking for an Intermediate Accountant with around 3 – 4 years’ experience who’s keen to step beyond “just compliance” and help businesses move forward to succeed.
This role is based in our Christchurch office.

You’ll be an accountant who:
- Has a tertiary accounting qualification
- Has solid experience in business services and compliance (ideally 3 – 4 years)
- Knows your way around Xero or is keen to get even better at it
- Communicates clearly, honestly, and with clients in mind
- Enjoys solving real problems for real businesses
- Likes learning and doesn’t shy away from trying something new
- Is looking for a team where people genuinely get along
- Wants to drive forward and progress their career
You’re curious. You care about your clients. You want to grow your advisory skills. And you want to work somewhere that encourages a life outside the office too!

- Working closely with a wide range of businesses
- Compliance work (of course) but also forecasting, advisory and helping clients reach their goals

What you need to have:
- Seniors – Your CA qualification and 5+ years experience
- Intermediates – Your CA (or mostly completed) and 3+ years experience
- Fantastic verbal and written English
- Excellent client management and communication skills
- Ideally have experience working with Xero and other connected apps
- Sound technical accounting knowledge and the ability to learn new systems
- Professionalism, competence, dedication, willingness, intelligence, and if you have all of that, the ability to have fun too!
